Two interesting pages

The Gallup organization recently released results of a poll of Russians. Some interesting results - although on the whole they are predictable. For example, people who are relatively less educated and more poor favor the Soviet system. But - as the accompanying article points out, the results do contradict recent assertions that the opposition to the democratization has come from the elite. The results appear to show the contrary is more likely.

My other find is more arcane. It's the page that the Institute for Linguistic Studies put online. It seems to be great source for Russian language info, although to be honest I haven't thoroughly explored it.
