I speak enough to get around at the bazaar and to make the taxi driver stop at the right time. But I lectured in Russian and worked with an interpreter. These students spoke little Russian or English. They were good guys - with good attitude in a challenging environment for journalists.
I do understand some Azerbaijani, although not enough to catch everything here especially through an internet post. Who organized this project? Is it just going on in Lankaran?

We taught in Lenkoran, Ganca, Baku, Sheki, & Zaqatala. The classes were organized by the International Center For Journalists.
